Manugistics, Chrome Drive New Automotive Solutions Alliance

The combination, say the companies aims to help OEMs and their suppliers better predict buyer trends and consumer preferences, and more quickly identify production issues. Manugistics automotive clients also have access to Chrome's Internet-based vehicle configurator -- Chrome Carbook(R) -- for research and ordering. Manugistics, Rockville, Md., is a provider of enterprise profit optimization (EPO) solutions. Chrome Systems, Portland, Ore., an automotive data, platforms and services firm, provides the North American ordering system for General Motors Corp. and its dealers.
