Launched in June 2000, until recently it was open to beta subscribers only. DealByNet is a proprietary business-to-business (B2B) platform designed to streamline supply-chain management and reduce procurement and distribution expenses in grocery, health, and beauty aid industries. Among other functions, it enables customers to search items online by replenishment costs and increase access to real-time data via XML/EDI middleware. DealByNet is a subsidiary of Synergy Brands -- headquartered in Syosset, N.Y. -- which develops Internet properties. Other Synergy subsidiaries include BeautyBuys.com, Netcigar.com, Supply Chain Technologies Inc., Gran Reserve Cigars, and Proset Distributors.
