Don't Drink the Water, Mate!

Executives and other visitors to Sydney should be careful to avoid drinking unboiled tap water. Three times in just three months, the water supply in Australia's biggest city has been found to be contaminated with cryptosporidium and giardia, parasites that can cause serious nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pains. The warning could remain until the end of the year, raising fears that attendance at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 could be adversely affected. Inevitably, sales of bottled water in the city are booming.
