ByJohn S. McClenahen At the end of this month, the White House is expected to release the full text of the pending free-trade agreement between the U.S. and Chile. In the meantime, 24 issue summaries of the agreement are available online for manufacturing executives to review. Also available is the entire 800-page text of the pending U.S.-Singapore free-trade pact, including timetables for the elimination of tariffs on trade between the two countries. Congress is expected to vote on -- and approve -- both the Chile and Singapore agreements this year. The proposed U.S.-Singapore free-trade agreement and issue-by-issue summaries of the pending U.S.-Chile free-trade pact are available at the White House trade office's Web site at www.ustr.gov.
