New Tool For Quality Assurance

Dec. 7, 2006
Software supports companies' quality initiatives.

To help manufacturers extend quality assurance across operations, Apriso Corp. announced a new solution called FlexNet. The Long Beach, Calif. company provides adaptive software platforms.

The FlexNet Quality module supports the prerequisites for effective implementation of Six Sigma, including implementation of the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) and SPC (Statistical Process Control) techniques. The solution can also assist with ISO 2859 implementation.

FlexNet, designed as a flexible operations execution platform deploying a native Business Process Management application, provides metrics on quality in a single master data set, which enable product specifications with versioning and reason codes for defects to be synchronized with ERP, including SAP R/3 and mySAP QM IDI standard interfaces. Quality inspection is integrated with receiving, warehouse, production and shipping business process management.
