Airbus CEO Cautiously Confident on Asia-Pacific

July 15, 2014
"There is not a crisis at all," said Airbus President and CEO Fabrice Bregier.

Airbus' top executive remains bullish on the developing market of the Asia-Pacific.

Despite the challenges in the market, Airbus President and CEO Fabrice Bregier told Aviation Week "There is not a crisis at all. There is growth."

"The market is still very bullish, but you’re starting to see emerging winners and losers" among airlines, Bregier said.

"Bregier concedes the Asia-Pacific market has 'more challenges than before,' particularly with struggling low-cost carriers. But he says that may simply be a sign that the market is maturing, and reiterated his confidence in its long-term growth prospects," write Joe Anselmo and Jens Flottau of Aviation Week.
