When it comes to philanthropy, some businesses give more generously than others.

Manufacturers generally give less than 1% (0.08%) of their total revenue, according to the 2014 Giving in Numbers survey. 

Of those donations, 53% is in the form of cash, and 45% comes from foundation cash. 

This gallery shows how the top manufacturers listed on the Foundation Center's ranking of the 50 largest corporate foundations by total annual giving stack up against one another. 

Data is gleaned from the most current 990s filed by the foundations.
