It's about transitioning the space industry from one propped up by the government to something self-sufficient; it's about private enterprise investing in rockets, in equipment, in experiments in space.

The Commercialization of Space: Selling the Final Frontier

It's about NASA stepping aside after 60 years of building a basic space infrastructure.

It's about the future. The future of space.

However, in light of the recent explosion of Orbital Sciences Corp.'s Antares rocket and the crash of Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo, even more attention and questions will be focused on the fledgling commercial space market.
