Traveling with a laptop sometimes raises the issue of remembering to connect to the network and back up files. IBM's new product, Tivoli Continuous Data Protection for Files, makes back up protection easier. The software provides real-time back up data continuously by creating a copy and sending another copy to a remove server.

Additionally the software protects information from viruses, file corruption or accidental deletion and can be used on desktop PCs as well as file and enterprise servers.

IBM Tivoli Continuous Data Protection for Files will be available on September 16, 2005, http://www.ibm.com/software/news/n/lsan6flnnt?
