Ranging from mainstream computer giants to start-up disruptors and all of the high-tech hardware that enable them, the top 10 fastest growing tech companies of the year aren't necessarily the highest ranking, or even the most profitable. But their quick growth tells us that they are up to something good.

Continuing our deep dive into the IW U.S. 500, we have isolated the top ten fastest rising tech companies on this year's list.

Ranging from mainstream computer giants to start-up disruptors and all of the high-tech hardware than enable them, these companies aren't necessarily the highest ranking – nor are they necessarily the most valuable or profitable – but they have shown the most year-over-year revenue growth. And that is a good sign they are up to something good.

Together, they paint an exciting picture of the state of the American technology industry – one that is alive and active, vibrant and diverse.

And it tells of some exciting things to come.
