Over the course of his career, Tim has led reliability services organizations and managed large-scale projects across multiple industries. His expertise includes helping organizations establish data governance and process standards that improve operational performance, support sustainable growth, and deliver measurable cost savings.

Chris Colson leads the Reliability Solutions business for Allied Reliability, with end-to-end responsibility for the strategy, delivery, and commercial performance of the company’s condition monitoring, consulting, and training portfolio. He partners with operations, maintenance, and asset-management executives at Fortune 500 operators — including Enbridge, Mosaic, Alcoa, West Fraser, PepsiCo, Pfizer, and Cargill, among others — to convert reliability programs into measurable business outcomes: higher uptime, lower total maintenance cost, extended asset life, and stronger capital efficiency. He is known for treating reliability as a capital-efficiency lever, not a maintenance line item.

With 32 years of industry experience, Chris has built and led reliability organizations at enterprise scale — more than 200 professionals across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific — and today leads a leaner, restructured Reliability Solutions practice focused on delivery efficiency and operational discipline. Since joining Allied in 2006, he has driven a 32% revenue increase in a key business unit over three years and served as a technical advisor on three acquisitions in the last decade, businesses that have since more than doubled in revenue. His work spans process, discrete, and heavy-asset industries, including oil & gas, primary metals, mining, food & beverage, power generation, automotive, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville and has been an active leader in the reliability profession for three decades. Within the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP), he chaired the M&R Body of Knowledge Committee from 2010 to 2013 — shaping the technical standard the industry certifies against — and today serves on the Government Relations Committee, representing the profession in policy conversations that affect industrial operators. He also contributes to the Reliability Leadership Foundation’s Sustainability Consortium for Reliability and Asset Management, advancing the link between asset reliability and sustainability outcomes for capital-intensive industries. A 30-year IEEE member, Chris is a frequent voice at annual conferences such as SMRP, Reliable Plant, The International Maintenance Conference, and Doble Engineering, and is the co-author of Clean, Green, & Reliable.
