Award-winning software to deliver more efficient arsenal of tools and workflows for 3D modeling

Earlier this month, San Diego, Calif.-based Autodesk, Inc. announced the release of Autodesk Maya 2008 modeling, animation, visual effects and rendering software. Maya 2008 enables artists and industrial designers to quickly create, manipulate and place polygons that form highly detailed characters and environments, through a streamlined Mesh Smooth workflow, a new Slide Edge feature and improvements to Booleans, Bridge, Bevel and other tools.

Maya also features overall performance improvements for greater efficiency through both multi-threading and algorithmic speed-ups.

The software package is expected to see English release in September.
