American Textile Co. will open a 218,000-square-foot pillow manufacturing plant in Tifton, Ga., by the end of first-quarter 2011, the company said Dec. 3.

The plant will initially employ 50 people and service customers in the Southeast. The company expects to employ 120 people by 2016.
