Compiled ByDeborah Austin To support mission-critical service parts logistics for its U.S., Canadian and Latin American customers, DHL Worldwide Express has opened its Americas' Logistics Customer Service Center (LCSC) in Tempe, Ariz. The company already has such facilities in Brussels, Belgium, to support customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa -- and in Singapore, supporting the Asia-Pacific. The LCSC is like a "control tower," says DHL -- executing activities like order handling, part scheduling, and transportation and retrieving defective or unused parts to repair centers or stocking locations. DHL Worldwide Express, Brussels, is an international provider of air express delivery, e-commerce fulfillment and logistics solutions. This logistics offering targets the service parts logistics industry -- management of processes, activities and spare parts to support repairing/maintaining equipment and products.
