Oracle Corp.'s Oracle E-Business Suite 11i.10 targets specific industry needs in health care, life sciences, retail, transportation, utilities and manufacturing, according to the Redwood Shores, Calif.-based company. In terms of manufacturing, the solution will offer expanded support and functionality in several areas including:
- Lean manufacturing: The solution will include scarce inventory allocation, LPN and lot/serial receiving, catch weight support and lot-specific costing.
- RFID support: The new RFID capabilities within Oracle Warehouse Management will offer improved inventory control and extended supply-chain visibility.
- Improved partner collaboration: The solution will include a channel/partner management dashboard that will support collaboration with partners.
- 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance: To meet Federal Drug Administration guidelines for electronic records in the consumer-packaged goods, medical-device manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing arenas, the solution will provide additional configuration options that will enable manufacturers to control and manage electronic records and electronic signatures.
