Lest you think CEOs spend all their time mapping grand strategies, think again. A survey of CEOs and vice president by Austin-McGregor International, a Dallas-based search firm, found that close to 80% of executives spent a minimum of 11 hours a week reviewing resumes, interviewing potential executives, speaking with recruiters, dining or socializing with potential candidates, and networking to identify executive candidates. And more than half, 52%, spent at least 16 hours of work recruiting other executives, and say that executive recruitment is a top priority.
