Compiled ByJill Jusko Constella Biomedical Informatics has introduced a Web-based exchange solution it says gives small to midsized biomedical companies a secure, regulatory-compliant environment for their research and development efforts. The San Antonio, Texas-based company says Constella Orion provides users a single place to store, organize and retrieve the vast amounts of information generated by biopharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. It offers permission-based data access, a configurable user interface, complete IT regulatory compliance, and control of biomedical knowledge in a real-time environment. Other features include a document data repository system, which is the central location where all study data are organized and stored; a set of tools for real-time analysis of data; an online education system that provides guidance to all systems users and tracks all training records; and a regulated managed hosting infrastructure. Constella Biomedical Informatics is a business unit of Constella Group Inc.
