The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business will hold its 46th annual Management Conference on Friday, May 1. The event will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. A keynote address by Myron Scholes, recipient of the 1997 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, will be given at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel following an opening reception and luncheon.

In the afternoon two panel sessions will be offered, each with a variety of topics. Session topics will include: "Workforce 2000," "The Rebirth of M&A," "International Leadership," "After the Deluge--Should We Still Invest in Asia?", "David vs. Goliath: Do Institutional Investors Hold All the Cards?", "Sports as Big Business," "Data Mining: Marketing Gets Personal," and "Back to the Classroom: Marketing."

Additional session topics will include: "Behind the Headlines--What Happens Within Firms After a Merger Takes Place," "How to be an Entrepreneur in a Corporate Setting," "Cross Border/Cross Cultural Marketing," "Risk Management," "Looking for a Few Good CEOs," "Will Main Street Survive? The Future of Electronic Commerce," and "Back to the Classroom: Finance."
