A new Web portal, WhoMakesIt.Com, gives electronic component industry professionals direct access to up-to-date product information from multiple manufacturers. Within a single session, the supplier-neutral portal lets the user:

  • Search for components by specifying multiple parameters.
  • Prioritize key product attributes.
  • Compare product information from multiple manufacturers.
  • Link directly to the manufacturer's Web site at the location of the specific information. The process is meant to speed the design cycle by eliminating designers' need to search through a manufacturer's home page for needed information, or weed through imprecise results from general search engines. It also gives the component manufacturers greater access to decision makers. The WhoMakesIt.Com site contains information from more than 1,200 electronic component manufacturers.
