Compiled ByJill Jusko Oracle Corp. is calling upon its suppliers and customers to help create procurement software solutions for the future. The Redwood Shores, Calif.-based software company has formed a supplier advisory board that includes among its founding members Dell Computer Corp., McCormick & Co Inc., W. W. Grainger Inc., Toshiba Corp. and Staples Inc. Oracle says the supplier advisory board offers a collaborative environment to develop more effective procurement applications that include both the buyers' and suppliers' perspectives. "Effective supplier relationship management requires optimization of business processes and supporting technologies," says Dave Stephens, senior director of procurement applications at Oracle. "The supplier advisory board provides Oracle with extremely valuable input to enhance its procurement applications for increased value across the supply chain and better ROI for our customers."
