Employees at San Francisco-based Levi Strauss & Co. are joining with Habitat for Humanity to construct a home for a family of five. The home is being purchased by Concepcion Padilla, a single mother with four daughters. Levi Strauss & Co. is the corporate sponsor for the Padilla's new home. Joining in the work in San Francisco will be Pete Jacobi, president of the company. In addition to offering volunteers, Levi Strauss & Co. is providing the up-front cost to sponsor, fund, and build the three-bedroom condominium for the Padilla family.

"We are very excited at this opportunity to bring teams of employees together to help this project through," says Jacobi. "Levi Strauss & Co. is proud to be making a positive impact in the local community."
