Supply-chain professionals interested in improving their supplier alliance development and management processes may want to attend "Leading and Managing Supply Relationships," a two-day seminar presented by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) on July 22-23. The event will be held in Chicago. The ISM seminar will discuss how to move beyond transactional management to develop a strategic supply fulfillment approach; create management techniques that sustain and build supplier capability; and assess a supplier for value and pertinence. It also will provide coaching techniques to sustain and build supplier dependability. Attendees will earn 14 continuing education hours. Additional information about the seminar, which also will be held Nov. 8-9 in Atlanta, can be found online at www.ism.ws/shopping/seminar.cfm?ID=48&.
