Toronto-based Alias Systems is offering StudioTools Techniques - Exploring StudioTools, a learning tool that complements its Alias StudioTools 11 computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software. The self-paced DVD tutorial examines the integrated sketching and modeling features found in the company's CAID software. It also instructs users how to convert raw ideas into digital concepts using curve warp, color replacement and sketch projection tools. It also explains how to model edge finish details and show parting lines on concept models. "This tool will help designers take full advantage of StudioTools technology, enabling them to more rapidly create sophisticated organic and freeform concepts," says Marcus Tateishi, Alias Learning Tools and Training Services manager. The learning tool is available for sale at www.alias.com/learningtools.
