Compiled ByTonya Vinas Chief financial officers say between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. is the most productive time for interviewing job candidates, according to a survey of 1,400 of the financials executives. An independent research company conducted the U.S.-based survey for Accountemps, a temporary staffing service for accounting, finance and bookkeeping professionals based in Menlo Park, Calif. A whopping 69% of those surveyed chose the aforementioned time period, while 11% said before 9 a.m. was the most productive time. The rest of the day garnered between 2% and 8% support. "Managers prefer to schedule interviews before the other responsibilities of the day begin," says Max Messmer, Accountemps chairman. "After a full slate of meetings and regular work activities, their energy level and focus may not be as strong in the afternoon."
