According to a Price Waterhouse World Economic Forum survey of 377 CEOs from the world's largest 2,000 companies, nearly 80% of respondents believe electronic commerce will reshape competition in their industries. The findings show that 20% of those surveyed think electronic commerce will completely reshape how they do business, while 59% say it will lead to significant change. "CEOs in Europe and Asia believe that electronic commerce will have a more dramatic effect on their business than their counterparts in North America," says Price Waterhouse CEO James J. Schiro. "Twenty-eight percent of CEOs surveyed in Europe and Asia said it will completely transform their industries, while only 16% of those surveyed from North America believe this to be true."
