Best Practices LLC will host the spring meeting of the Global Benchmarking Council on May 17 to 19 at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, N.C. Featured speakers will include a General Electric Co. representative who will discuss Six Sigma, and a Johnson Controls Inc. representative who will discuss "Energy System Management: Decreasing Costs Through Technology Initiatives." Discussions also will focus on "Using Technology and Innovative Programs to Drive Productivity Improvements," "Retaining Top Talent in a Competitive Marketplace," and "Best Practices Benchmarking." In addition to GE and Johnson Controls, attendees will participate in interactive presentations with Cisco Systems Inc., Georgia Pacific Corp., and others. The Global Benchmarking Council is a membership group composed of performance improvement professionals at leading companies around the world.
