Compiled ByTraci Purdum The Benchmarking Exchange (TBE) is offering members and guests a chance to see how their companies measure up to others in their industry via the 2003 Baldrige Criteria For Business Excellence. Available online, first-time visitors can sign up for a seven-day guest pass that enables them to obtain a report card on how their department, division or entire organization is doing compared with others around the world. Once visitors have obtained a user name and password from TBE (usually the same day), they will be asked to answer several questions about leadership, social responsibility, strategic planning, strategy deployment, customer and market focus, customer relationships, information and knowledge management, and employee satisfaction. The criteria are taken directly from the published version of the 2003 Baldrige Criteria For Business Excellence. Information provided will be used only to generate a composite summary report, TBE says. It will not be disclosed to anyone else. To access TBE's free, online Baldrige 2003 Self-Assessment, log on to http://66.124.245.170/TBE_Members2/selfassess/baldrige03/index.htm and select "Generate Profile." After you complete the online form, you will be sent an e-mail containing a link to your report card.
