Compared with other economic regions around the world, Europe is likely to feel only minor effects of the Asian financial flu in 1998. But Europes not without worry. Leading business executives in Europe, for example, are concerned about the economic performance of France and Germany. Once rated by executives as the home of Europes star economies, Germany is No. 3, behind Britain and Spain, in the PS Europe Business Monitors latest survey of economic performance during the next three years.

France is No. 6. The execs also rated France as the country most like to experience strikes during the period.
