Manufacturer Expands Ceramic Electronic Components Line

Compiled ByDave Schafer In an attempt to help telecommunications-equipment manufacturers meet the demand for faster, more reliable products for residential and commercial users, Murata Electronics North America Inc. is expanding its electronic-component line-up. Smyrna, Ga.-based Murata, a manufacturer of ceramic electronic components, is adding chip inductors, capacitors, and EMI filters to its slate of components for telecommunications, computer, and automotive applications. The company says the additions combine passive components with integrated circuits for use in telecommunications broadband Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) modems and other wired and wireless devises from car radios to personal digital assistants. The components are compact, fast, and flexible enough to allow designs for advanced technologies such as Voice over DSL, Murata says.
