SAP Accelerated Targets Midsize Drug, Software Companies

Small to midsize pharmaceutical and software industry companies now can deploy SAP business and e-commerce solutions faster and easier with new SAP Accelerated solutions form SAP America Inc., the company says. These vertical business solutions use preconfigured business processes that reduce the time, cost, and organizational resources required to start them. A study of 15 companies by the Aberdeen Group, an information technology market research and consulting firm, showed an average implementation time of 20 weeks for SAP Accelerated solutions. Companies also can add mySAP.com Internet solution to provide an integrated e-business suite enabling inter-enterprise communication and commerce with suppliers and customers. Other vertical SAP Accelerated solutions include those for automotive, consumer products, and chemical-industry companies.
