It's not quite at the level of "How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying." It's certainly no "Man of La Mancha" (or even "Manufacturer of La Mancha"). In fact, I'm not even sure that it's actually a musical at all, but whatever it is, it's pretty darn clever. Check out "In the Key of ERP" by clicking here.

Disclaimer: The whole thing is basically a commercial for Epicor, an ERP vendor that sponsors various IndustryWeek projects from time to time. That being said, I still think it's a hoot.

I've joked around with my kids that the next book I write will be a children's book based on my SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT BEST PRACTICES book (which, unlike BEST LAID PLANS, actually exists). After all, has anybody ever written a supply chain book for kids? But I think this musical comedy about ERP is an even better idea. Maybe I should track down a songwriter to write a few lyrics for "Chain Reactions: The Musical" and I can make this the world's first musical blog about supply chains.

Or, maybe not.
