Growth is the Name of the Game in Thailand

For this entire week, no matter where I go, all I hear is how this country is growing.

For this entire week, no matter where I go, all I hear is how this country is growing.

Whether it's visiting American Axel Manufacturing, or Pfizer's new division, called Zoetis, executives are constantly discussing plans for expansion. It could be due to increased market share in the Asian region or the need for more R&D, or simply following the strategic plan to grow.

A visit to the largest deep sea port, Laem Chabang, brings talk of expanding capability due to increased traffic. The lot housing the autos waiting for export is enormous.

And large isn’t close to being the right word for the new Ford plant that expanded last year.

Every major auto company, and many Tier 1 and 2 companies have a large presence in the country’s industrial estates and many have expanded or are talking about future plans.

Aerospace is increasing as well as a visit to Primus International proved.

The growth, supported by a strong infrastructure,  is amazing and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
