Some Canadians aren't happy about the result of wind power subsidies in their nation.

About 800 farmers and other rural residents demonstrated outside a clean energy forum in downtown Toronto Tuesday.

According to an Agence France-Presse report:

They said in a statement the program has resulted in "unbridled and unnecessary development" of wind power projects throughout Ontario, "which is altering rural communities, causing power bills to rise dramatically, and even causing some people to become ill from exposure to the environmental noise."

This isn't the first time Canadian residents have voiced concerns about wind farms. This protest video was posted in 2009 along with a song about the "green energy blues:"
