In Search of the IW 50 Best US Manufacturers

July 18, 2022
Review this interactive map to discover where the best manufacturers in the United States locate their headquarters.

It’s all about California when it comes to the 2022 IndustryWeek 50 Best U.S. Manufacturers. At least when you talk about the locations of their headquarters, that is.

Thirteen of the manufacturing companies on the IW 50 Best, IW’s exclusive annual ranking of the United States’ top-performing manufacturing companies, call the Golden State home. That’s up from eight in the 2019 version of the IW 50 Best US Manufacturers and five in 2018, the last two years in which we explored headquarters locations.

While California dominates, 18 other U.S. states also have one or more IW 50 Best manufacturing companies calling their borders home. Texas, for example, boasts five.

Rather than simply telling you where all these headquarters are; however, we are showing you with the interactive Google map below. All 50 of the manufacturers are plotted, with the different color pins representing different levels within the IW 50 Best. (For example, the yellow pins are the Top 10 companies within the full list of 50 companies.)

Moreover, click on a pin and it will provide some additional information about each manufacturing company, such as the city in which its headquarters is located and the industry in which it operates.
