Interesting report out of Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) that says Seniors (the study helpfully points out that they are also referred to as quote-unquote "matures") have web-enabled their lives and "often rival younger generations in online activities." Sure, the youth of today are digital natives, but that doesn't mean that we don't have a new Colonial Age upon our hands:

Online seniors regularly use email (94%), go to the internet to look up health and medical information (71%), read news (70%), and manage their finances and banking (59%). They also turn online for gaming: Approximately half (47%) of online Matures regularly play free online games.

Second childhood, perhaps? Or too much free time? Either way, I read that last sentence, and I think I now know why they put quotes around the word "matures" in the initial description.
