Airbus Outstrips Boeing in Orders

Boeing had 111 cancellations

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus eclipsed rival Boeing in the battle for new orders in the first 10 months of the year, according to figures made available by the companies on Nov. 6.

Airbus from January to October received 123 net orders to 84 for Boeing. The figures take account of cancellations in the period.

Boeing said it received 111 cancellations in the first 10 months, of which 83 involved the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the U.S. manufacturer's much delayed long-haul carrier.

At Airbus cancellations came to 28.
