The IW US 500: State of Manufacturing

July 16, 2013
IW U.S. 500 manufacturers saw revenues inch upward 1% to $6.07 trillion in 2012.

The companies comprising this year’s IW 500 – IndustryWeek’s annual list of the largest publicly-held U.S. manufacturers based on revenue – boasted the highest total revenues recorded on the IW 500 to date.

But those revenues were not shared equally among all of the states.

States like Texas and California were each home to more than 50 of the companies included on the 2013 IW U.S. 500 list, while a handful of states lacked any of the companies on this year’s list.
