German Solar Manufacturer Taps Georgia for North American Headquarters

Mage Solar GmbH, a Ravensburg, Germany-based manufacturer of solar energy products, will locate its North American headquarters and production facility for photovoltaic modules in Dublin, Ga.

As part of the project, Mage Solar will invest $30 million to create 350 jobs within the next five years, according to the company.

A division of parent company Mage Group, the company makes high-grade photovoltaic modules, high-performance branded inverters, and mounting systems used in the solar energy industry.

Mage Solars new North American corporate campus will be home to the companys headquarters, a large manufacturing facility and an academy for solar education. The new headquarters will manage all administrative and operational processes necessary to serve the growing U.S. solar market, the company said.

Due to the great potential of the American continent and the steadily increasing demand, the production of Mage Powertec Plus modules is scheduled to begin around the end of this year, the company said.
