Loren Hill

President

Loren Hill has served as the President of High Point Economic Development Corporation for 18 years. Through his leadership, the organization’s mission has focused on retaining existing business and industry, assisting local companies to expand, attracting new businesses, and encouraging the creation of head-of-household jobs for residents of Greensboro-High Point. The High Point Economic Development Corporation is a city department which works with office, industrial, and retail clients. In addition to Hill’s work in High Point, he has held a board position for the Southern Economic Development Council’s since 2016 and is currently the organization’s North Carolina Director and Mid-Atlantic Regional Director. Hill is also among the board of the directors for the Piedmont Triad Partnership and the North Carolina Economic Development Association. Previous to Hill’s economic development role in High Point, he was the Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and President of The Hill Group, a governmental affairs and public affairs consulting firm. Hill is a High Point native and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
