Private label manufacturer AccuMed has chosen ORION@Pharma, a second-generation ERP product from ICICI Infotech Ltd., to streamline its supply-chain efforts from manufacturing to retailer. Lawrenceville, N.J.-based AccuMed will use the product to automate its operation cycle, which ranges from 65 million to 100 million units of over-the-counter drug products annually. "AccuMed needed a single system with all required functionality, that would scale to our growing needs," explains Farah Palkhiwala, AccuMed vice president of operations. ORION@Pharma targets specific business requirements such as batch tracking, expiry date tracking, formulation/recipe management and supply-chain management. It addresses U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines. ICICI Infotech has U.S. headquarters in Edison, N.J.
