Alliance Offers Manufacturing Intelligence Solutions

(EMT), London, Ont. Under the agreement, BORN will provide clients with Manufacturing Intelligence solutions based on EMT's VisualPlant, which allows manufacturers access to real-time and historical plant floor information via the Web. VisualPlant also provides reporting and integration options that help clients leverage the power of their existing enterprise business systems. Clients can integrate VisualPlant into their enterprise systems, enabling them to better understand and manage preventive maintenance on equipment, saving valuable resources by avoiding factory downtime. Users also can analyze throughput on the plant floor to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and perform complex production tasks like product customization. VisualPlant technology also allows companies to effectively track production batches, making it easier to isolate quality issues and lower recall costs if they do occur. VisualPlant runs on Microsoft platforms and leverages Microsoft's BizTalk and .NET technologies for integration with other business enterprise systems.
