Technology providers Reynolds and Reynolds Co. and Servigistics have joined forces to offer Service Parts Networking, a Web-based service parts management solution for automobile manufacturers as well as OEMs in the power sports, marine, recreational vehicle and commercial vehicle industries. Reynolds will employ the Servigistics Service Parts Management Platform to offer a solution it says will streamline complex service parts networks and thereby improve performance. "Every automotive service visit is an opportunity for the OEM and retailer to demonstrate outstanding service and availability of the parts that the consumer needs," points out Alan Chakra, Reynolds vice president of OEM solutions.
