Compiled ByDeborah Austin Cleanwise.com, an e-procurement solution for the janitorial/sanitary industry, has completed its beta program and announced its official launch. Cleanwise.com is designed to help large, multi-location businesses purchase cleaning supplies, information, and related services online -- including 24-hr access to training and troubleshooting, material safety data sheets and OSHA regulations, and personal accounts with reporting capabilities. "We built cleanwise.com to address the problems we faced while working in the cleaning industry," says Cleanwise President Keith Alsheimer, a 10-year jan/san industry veteran. Cleanwise.com is designed to automate the existing supply chain rather than creating an alternative chain for manufacturers, distributors, and end-users, he says. Strategic partners include Kimberly-Clark, 3M, and Rubbermaid. Cleanwise.com was launched by Marlborough, Mass.-based Cleanwise, which provides tools and technologies to the janitorial/sanitation industry.
