It all starts with the basics. With that in mind, APICS-The Educational Society for Resource Management will conduct a workshop on the basics of supply-chain management. The event will be held Nov. 16-18 in Alexandria, Va., which is the headquarters location for APICS. The course will examine the basic concepts of supply-chain management, as well as the relationships among master planning, inventory management, forecasting, just-in-time manufacturing, material requirements planning, capacity management, distribution, production activity control, total quality management and purchasing.
