Rockwell Enhances MRO Capabilities With Entek Purchase

Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation, a unit of Rockwell International Corp., will purchase Entek IRD International Corp., which provides machinery equipment monitoring solutions to manufacturers. The purchase includes the Entek and IRD brands of condition-based monitoring equipment, analysis software, professional services, and Internet services related to maintenance, repair, and operations. Rockwell says it will be able to link vital information about the performance of plant-floor equipment to Enterprise Asset Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Entek is headquartered in Milford, OH. A purchase price was not disclosed.
