The Conference Board, a New York-based business membership organization, will host "Optimizing Sourcing in Challenging Times" Nov. 5-7 in New York. The three-day event will address a long list of sourcing-related topics, including:
optimizing the supplier pool;
leveraging strategic electronic sourcing;
best practices in sourcing selected services;
improving sourcing performance; and
the economic outlook for sourcing.
Conference presenters currently slated include Norbert J. Ore, group director, strategic sourcing and procurement, Georgia-Pacific Corp., and Paul Goldsworthy, director of purchasing, Schindler Elevator Corp.
