CFOs Expecting Sunshine In 2003

Most CFOs recently surveyed by Robert Half Management Resources see a sunnier financial forecast for 2003. According to the Menlo Park, Calif., executive services firm, 51% of surveyed CFOs they believe the nation's economy will start improving by the second quarter of 2003. Also, 41% say they plan at least some business expansion in 2003, while only 8% foresee cutbacks. The survey was conducted by an independent research firm and includes responses form 1,400 CFOs at U.S. companies with more than 20 employees. Says Paul McDonald, executive director of Robert Half Management Resources: "This would seem to indicate confidence in an economic rebound in 2003."
