Top-line growth has replaced an emphasis on productivity as the main way to increase shareholder value. That's one of the findings of the fourth annual State-of-the-Art & Practice report sponsored by the Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS). Another interesting finding: non-U.S. companies focus on talent development, while U.S. companies focus more on retention of talented people.
