Tool Evaluates Automation In Warehouse

The software tool, called Throughput Models for Carousels and Vertical Lift Modules, asks a series of questions designed to help determine how warehouse space and personnel can be maximized using automated storage and retrieval systems. The tool is free for download at www.mhia.org/bs/cvlm or can be purchased on a CD-ROM for $19.95. The product was announced by the MHIA's Automated Storage/Automated Retrieval Systems Product Section, a group whose members represent suppliers of automated-storage-and-retrieval-systems technology applications. The MHIA is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C.
