ByJill Jusko El Segundo, Calif.-based iSuppli Corp., a procurement and supply-chain-management services provider for the electronic components industry, is offering a new service that tracks pricing trends across the electronic-components spectrum. Called the Price Tracker Procurement Service, the resource provides in-depth information on current worldwide pricing conditions as well as four quarters of price forecasts for 150 different types of commonly used electronic components. "Our Master Price Tracker Database provides six levels of granularity, from generic product family descriptions down to part numbers for the 150 device types included," says Mark Giudici, principal analyst for strategic sourcing at iSuppli and director of the company's Competitive Pricing Market Intelligence Practice. "Current spot and contract pricing is provided for each category for three regions -- North America, Europe, and Asia." The iSuppli Price Tracker Procurement Service is available on an annual subscription basis for $65,000, and includes inquiry time, plus monthly database and forecast updates.
